This is Hubert. Hubert is a Seal. He spends most of his time pottering around Howth Harbour, and has an unpaid role as a lifeguard, saving anyone who may accidentally fall into the water by peering too far over wall. He finds American tourists the most generous, as they usually pass him a fish or two when they visit; but he doesn't really like their accents. At the other end of the scale, he loves the Irish accents he hears (particularly those of the fishermen), but they seem to be pretty stingy with the fish. His pet peeve is when people come and stare down at him from the wall, without offering anything. He is NOT a goldfish in a bowl. Hubert loves fresh mackerel, sunbathing, and watching the sunset. He dislikes plastic bottles, golf, and pan-pipe music.
